Screw-Retained Restoration

Hybrid CAD/CAM Custom Abutment

Why does Tru Scan Post have 4 different gingival height(GH)?

One of the reason why TruAbutment came out with 4 different heights of scan post is to offer an option of 4 different gingival height Ti-base compared to other brands that only offer 1 height.

How to select the right Tru Scan Post height for your case?

We recommend choosing a scan post or ti-base height close to the lowest gingival margin. For example;
Tru Scan Post GH1 (0.8mm) should ideally use on implants with 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm of gingival space.
This allows the designs of the crown to be much more ideal with minimum or no soft tissue contouring while keeping the ti-base platform margins subgingival.

What's the Benefit?

Having multiple gingival height levels of Ti-base makes it possible to restore almost any case as a one piece screw retained crown and shape the crown as ideally as possible.

How to select the right Tru Scan Post height for your case?

We always recommend starting with our lowest scan post size GH1 (0.8mm) height to scan intra orally
unless scan cap engaged to the scan post is too subgingival and scanner has trouble picking up the triangle
on top of the scan cap. If this is the case you want to select a higher gingival height scan post
to compensate for the depth of the implant.

* Confirm that scan post is engaged properly with the implant by utilizing X-ray imaging.

* Check for any defects or damages before using scan post and replace parts as needed.
